Q: How much does a website cost for a builder, carpentry, or construction business?
With Yakka, it’s only $49 a month. No big set-up or project fee. When you work with out system your site is up and looking awesome ASAP!
Q: What does the Yakka subscription include?
The $49 a months covers it all. It includes the initial set up of the site and ongoing hosting and support.
Q: Can I cancel anytime? And will I need to pay anything?
Yes you can cancel anytime. Not you won’t need to pay anything. We’ll just be sad to see you go.
Q: Do I need to have a domain (e.g. myconstructionbusiness.com)?
Yes. We can’t register domains for you. If you haven’t go one already, we can easily guide you on how to get one.
Q: How much can I ask for design changes for my builder, carpentry, or construction website?
We’ve built Yakka to be a highly optimised and modern platform, and that includes the design on the front end (what your customers see). We can make some small changes around colours etc, but we intentionally keep things simple. This makes it easier for you to get a great looking site live. It also enables us to make ongoing improvements across the whole platform, which benefits you and keeps your website always looking modern and fresh.
Q: If my site is going to be “simple”, why do I need to pay ongoing?
Website hosting alone costs from $20 to $30 a month. Even if you went with an agency (spent $$$ upfront) or DIY’d your site (who has time for that?), you’d still be paying at least the same as Yakka every month.
Q: Will the Yakka team make changes to my site ongoing?
Yes. And there are two parts to this. We will constantly improve the core platform and designs of Yakka. Every time we improve the whole platform, you benefit. Also, if you ever want some text, details, or images changed, we will handle that for you.
Q: Do you offer a refund policy?
Yes. You can cancel anytime within the first 30 days and receive a full refund. After those 30 days, you’re able cancel at anytime.
Q: How do I get the builder, carpentry, and construction leads in my contact form?
Straight to your inbox. If you use a CRM, just provide us with the relevant inbound email address, and we will send your leads there.
Q: Does a simpler website mean less quality?
Nope. We’ve been designing, building, and optimising websites as a team for over 10 years. We really know what looks and functions well. Besides, when it comes to converting website visitors to leads/inquiries, simple is 99% of the time better.
Q: Can I use my brand colours?
We have a select, but broad, range of colour palettes we build the sites from. These are all optimised for clarity and style. Although they may not match your brand colours perfectly, we are yet to come across a brand that our colour choices does not work for.
Q: How do I make edits to the site?
Just submit a edit request (super simple form) and we’ll make the change within 24 hours. This can be for new text, images, new testimonials, new sections etc.
Q: What if my construction business grows and/or I want a more complex website in the future?
No worries at all. In general our experience is that 90% of businesses don’t need anything more than what Yakka provides, but if you do, you can take your domain to an agency of your choice easily. We won’t lock you in!
